After recovering from the over-indulgence over the Christmas period, we can now think about things to do or what challenges we want to give ourselves over the coming year.
23 – 26 July 2016. From £99 per team member
If you’re up for a cycle tour of some British countryside over three and a half days and 340 miles, then the BHF London to Land’s End cycle ride is for you. It’s all in the name of charity and you get a celebratory dinner and a medal at the end. Route maps and medical support included.
4 – 5 June 2016. From £39 and minimum fundraising limit.
Another charity-related event, but this is a has a difference – it happens through the night! You travel across the city and see various landmarks. Also comes in Bristol and Liverpool flavours.
18 – 19 June 2016. From £34 and minimum fundraising limit.
If any of the Nightrider events are too far away, maybe the Edinburgh Night Ride is closer. All the same night time city travel, and no less fun. Not affiliated to the Nightrider events.

If you enjoyed watching the thrill of the velodrome during the London 2012 Olympics, then this may be another way to see the athletes getting warmed up for the upcoming Rio Olympics in August. Set in the Olympic park, you can’t miss it!

Ride up to 101 miles in the ‘Epic’ challenge or a little less if you would like. In it’s seventh year join a couple thousand other cyclists through the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
9 July 2016. From £995.
One of the most famous cycle routes in the UK. We’ve all heard about it and there is always the option of attempting it on your own. Although this is an organised event and you have the option of doing it over 10 or 14 days.
20 – 24 July 2016. From £79 and fundraising targets.
A great touring cycle from London to Paris with a small group of cyclists raising awareness and money for Action. There are two route options and you will ride over 300 miles with full support of both medical and mechanical. You even will have the perk of catching the finale of the Tour de France.
4 October 2016. From £15.
If you’re after a little more than a cycle ride, then step up to a duathlon over a marathon distance – 26 miles (a 10 mile road and trail run followed by a 16 mile cycle).
3 June 2016. From £199
Enjoy 3 days of tough cycling through South Wales where you cover 198km (123 miles) over the first two days with having 4 choice of routes for the third day of up to 305km (189 miles) – no that’s epic! Full support, marshals and feed stations included.
22 May 2016. £49 and minimum fundraising limit.
Join over 18,000 cyclists starting in Cardiff and ride through a closed-road through the great scenery of Wales. You will cover over 140km (86 miles), but there is also a challenge of getting up over a 1,826 metre total climb – Revel in the glory at the top.
